Let's face it, wood is in a class of its own when it comes to furniture construction materials. Its classic look makes it a good fit for all but the most ultra modern rooms and offices.

Numerous different types of wood computer desks are available, including corner desks, L-shapes and wheelchair compatible versions. You can choose between various types of woods. Teak, oak and pine are among the most popular materials. The wood can actually be dyed darker should that be required.
Finishes obtained through this type of staining include espresso and cherry. If you don't fancy seeing the actual grain on the wood, you can look for a white finish. Keep in mind that the cheaper wood computer desks may actually be made of chipboard and the surfaces covered with a thin wooden skin of real wood.
While a wood computer desk is usually an excellent option to take, you should be wary of low quality products. If in doubt, go for the strength and classic beauty of an oak desk.
