Frosted Glass Computer Desk

How to Frost a glass desk?

I have a glass computer desk and I want to make the top look like this:

It appears that it is a green/blueish frost applied to the glass. Is this something I can do myself? Or is it something that a glass company could do to my existing glass? I have seen this look on a lot of newer modern furniture and I really like it.

Thanks for any tips!
What is it that gives it that blue/green color?

There are a few glass etching creams on the market, generally you can find one of them at a stained glass supply shop or a hobby store. It's pretty caustic stuff so not many places carry it and even fewer will ship anything other than UPS ground. Hydrofluoric acid has always been the option of choice but it's really dangerous so for the last few years (at least where I am) it's only been available for industrial use.

As far as the process goes, it's basically smear it on, wait, wipe it off and rinse. The hardest part is not getting any of the paste in places you don't want it.
