Is this a good idea?
Hi, I'm a 13 year old girl named Lindsey. I go to counseling for depression and occasional wrist cutting. I want to redo my room, kind of like a fresh start. I have a slated ceiling roof and its all real wood. Heres my idea: Paint the walls white, white bedding, white curtains, white desk, just all over white except the carpet which im keeping a sand color. I'm going to hang up photos that I've taken myself. I want a computer on a glass desk. A stereo system. And a waterbed on a metal frame. Basically, just a high tech nice looking room. Like think Mitchell Davis' room. If you don't know who he is look him up on youtube or google.

well a fresh start sounds wonderful! Good for you. But, make sure that you're ready to deal with all that white. If you don't clean enough, it could just look bad instead of fresh and pretty.
also, i would rethink that water bed if i were you. those things are really bad for your back and they art very uncomfortable to sleep on for a long period of time.
this project sounds expensive, which is fine. just make sure that you'll be able to live with this design for the next 5 or 6 years. try to pick something that you know you'll like when you're older. if that's white, then go for it!
